Our LocationsFrequently Asked Questions
When my doctor recommends therapy, do I have a choice in providers?
Yes. YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE when selecting a physical therapy provider. We focus on providing the best service and quality of care in Sevier County, TN with seven clinic locations.
Do I need a prescription to be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist?
Physical therapists can evaluate and treat without a referral in most instances. After evaluation and treatment, we are quickly able to determine if physical therapy is appropriate and/or if referral to a physician is warranted.
Will I have to wait for several weeks to get my first appointment scheduled?
NO, we typically can get therapy started within two business days of your phone call or email, and we can start on the same day when needed.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes early so that you can get registered as a new patient. Your first visit will last approximately 1 hour. Your physical therapist will then ask questions about your medical history, any diagnostic tests that you may have had, and any recent events that may have contributed to your current condition. He/she will then assess any or all of the following: ROM, flexibility, strength, current functional deficits, pain level, posture, gait, balance, and endurance.
When should I arrive?
15 minutes prior to your appointment time is appreciated.
What should I bring?
Please bring your photo ID, copy of your insurance card, and list of medications.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing or athletic apparel.
Who should I contact with insurance or billing questions?
Gail Cave is our billing manager. Her email is [email protected] and her phone number is 865-908-3261.
What are my healthcare privacy rights?
PTS will protect your privacy! We utilize a secure electronic medical record (EMR), we shred all written information once it is scanned into the EMR, and we will not sell or give your information to anyone.
